About the glossary

The glossary links can be a little confusing and you need to use some common sense when you use them. The links were generated by a program that marked every occurence of a word, regardless of whether the definition made sense for the particular context.

Because the glossary was generated automatically, you need to follow when basic rule when reading the plays: Ignore the glossary link unless you don't understand how the word is being used.. The glossary can be a big help when you just don't understand a line, but it isn't always right.

Some of the most common words have been eliminated from the glossary, because they are almost never used in the sense defined but appear frequently in the texts. Though this will lead to a little confusion, on the rare occasions when a word is used in an unusual or archaic way, it promotes readability.
